Welcome
Introduction
Welcome to MRI-TUTORIAL.COM! This neuroimaging repository presents information and tutorials about fmri data analysis, mri analysis hardware and software, mri physics and neuroanatomy. The site contents is aimed to be interesting for students and researchers who wish to increase their knowledge of neuroimaging. This website was started by Niels van Strien; one because it is fun and two, because there is much useful neuroimaging information on the world wide web available for free, but it can be somewhat difficult to find. This website tries to bring these invaluable resources together. In addition, some tutorials are presented to get you started with the fascinating world of functional MRI.
About Niels van Strien
Niels van Strien received his PhD degree in 2009 from the Department of Anatomy and Neurosciences, Faculty of Medicine of the VU University in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. His scientific interests concern the functional and structural properties of the hippocampus and related structures in humans (fMRI) and rats (anatomical tract-tracing). Currently he is employed at the NTNU in Trondheim, Norway. See the sidebar for a list of publications. If you have feedback on the contents of this website, do feel free to mail me.

Tutorials
As the url and title of this website suggest, this repository is dedicated to MRI tutorials. In the fMRI section, I am working on publishing some of my own tutorials. If a tutorial on a particular topic has not been created yet, I have listed some suggested readings on that topic to get you started. Select "Tutorials" on the menubar to see an overview of the available topics.
Store
Apart from reading the information listed in the tutorials section, another way to deepen your understanding of neuroimaging is by studying specialist textbooks. It can be somewhat difficult to choose which book will best suit your needs. In the Store, a selection of books and learning materials is made, arranged by topic. Information about the contents is provided along with a sample of the work, reviews and easy access to ordering the title.
This website is a project under development. Some content is already planned, but not yet available. Should you find an area of your interest empty, I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Do check back regularly and feel free to contact me if you have additions or questions.
Suggested Reading
If a full tutorial is not available yet on a particular topic, a "Suggested Reading List" and other resources to learn more about this topic are provided. The suggested reading list contains the key publications for that very topic and in addition will show a PubMed feed with the latest publications that are related to this. The links on these pages will bring you to PubMed or to the site where you can download the materials freely. Because of copyright restrictions, MRI-TUTORIAL does not redistribute articles.
Search Engine
This website hosts a customized version of the powerful Google search engine. Using the search field that is located at the top of every page in this website, you will initiate a Google search with an emphasis on neuroimaging websites.
